Interview Advice

In the workplace first impressions are of utmost importance; therefore, make sure your interview leaves your potential employer with a favorable impression.

The Basics:
Double check the time and location of your interview. Knowing how to get to your interview location ahead of time will help the interview be less stressful on that day.

Preparing:
Try to research as much about the position you are interviewing for as well as the company you are interviewing with. The more you know about the position you are trying to obtain, the more prepared you will be.

Attentiveness:
Make sure you are fully focused on what the interviewers are discussing with you during the entire interview. You want them to feel that they have your complete attention at all times.

Body Language:
From the start of your interview, your body language should be professional. Introduce yourself and shake hands before sitting down, sit straight up and do not gradually start to lean or slouch as time passes.

Confidence:
Be confident in yourself and make sure your interviewers can perceive your poise. Companies favor an individual who portrays themselves with a high level of confidence rather than one who is unsure of his or her capabilities.
